Founded in 2008, Hannah Barry Gallery grew out of a series of temporary exhibition projects in South London before establishing a permanent home in Peckham with a roster of artists focussed on supporting international emerging artists. In November 2013 the gallery re-launched in a new space in Peckham with a mixed programme of represented artists, special project shows and historical exhibitions. The gallery has also initiated a series of high -profile international projects including Palazzo Peckham for the 2013 Venice Biennale.
Hannah Barry also founded Bold Tendencies, a not-for-profit commissioning organisation that has spearheaded the transformation of Peckham, South London through an annual summer programme of visual art, architecture, music, literature and dance.
