Gallery Kohana is a place that arose from the need to support actions started and led by the Kochański Suwalski Knut Foundation of Fine Arts.
Contacts & Details
The foundation preserves and curates the work of avant-garde artists which were active in the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, as well as promotes artists from the geometric school. In its collection the Foundation presents the works of eminent artists from avant-garde tradition like Ignacy Bogdanowicz, Jan Chwałczyk or Wanda Gołkowska. The Foundation also carries out residency, educational and publishing programmes.
Kohana Gallery complements the activities carried out by the Foundation, focusing its attention and actions on cooperation with prominent artists of the younger generation, looking in their works for these phenomenons, which are representative for them or herald new trends in Polish art. An important aspect of the Gallery is the cooperation in the international arena to enable its artists to show their work abroad.
