White Cube Mason’s Yard opened in September 2006
25-26 Masons Yard, St. James's, London SW1Y 6BU, UK
Located off Duke Street, St. James’s, home of the original White Cube gallery, set up in 1993 by art dealer Jay Jopling on a site that was previously an electricity sub-station.
Mason’s Yard is one of two White Cube galleries in London, regarded as among the world’s most influential exhibition spaces for contemporary art.
The Hoxton Square location – which closed in 2012 – is survived by Mason’s Yard and a newer 58,000 sq ft space in Bermondsey, which incorporates specialist installation spaces, a bookshop and a 60-seat auditorium.
