Located in the centuries old Chapultepec Park, Casa del Lago is the first off-campus cultural centre of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
The museum, directed by José Wolffer, hosts representatives of the country’s cultural avant-garde movement in a variety of high quality artistic expressions: dance, theatre, music, cinema, visual arts.
The institution is meant to be a multicultural forum for artistic experimentation in the heart of Mexico City, conveniently located along what is known as the Corridor of Museums, at the foot of Chapultepec Castle and on the bank of Lago Mayor (the park’s largest lake).
