The museum hosts the philosopher’s library as well as his remarkable collection of antiquities, such as Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Oriental artworks.
The Museum is promoting contemporary ideas, art, and culture, while caring for the house and collections. It also hosts a Research Library for students and scholars, an Education Service a Bookshop and Cafè. The museum has a cutting-edge Exhibition Programme, which has been involving international established such artists as Turner Prize winner Mark Wallinger, Louise Bourgeois and Sarah Lucas.
