The museum houses the philosopher’s library as well as his remarkable collection of antiquities, such as Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Oriental artworks.
The Museum is promoting contemporary ideas, art, and culture, while caring for the house and collections. A Research Library is open for students and scholars, as well as an Education Service, a Bookshop and Cafè. The museum boasts a rich Exhibition Programme, which has included established such artists as Turner Prize winner Mark Wallinger, Louise Bourgeois and Sarah Lucas.
