Morettino Coffee Museum
Contacts & Details
The Morettino Coffee Museum in Palermo is located just outside the city centre in the historic village of San Lorenzo ai Colli. The Museum is located exactly where the coffee is roasted and thanks to a modern system of aerial walkways, one can observe the entire production process from above. Immersed in the irresistible aroma of roasting.
The museum boasts a collection of over one thousand pieces of coffee making equipment ranging from 1600 to today, from all over the world, collected over the years by the founder of the company Angelo Morettino and then by his son Arturo. The museum also consists of a barista corner, with dozens of espresso machines recovered in the old bars of the Peninsula, which mark its history from the beginning of the ‘900 to the’ 60s.
Inside the museum there are also unique paintings made with coffee and hundreds of books kept in the Coffee Library. Morettino School of Coffee offers training programs, open to schools, professional operators and coffee lovers, as well as sensory tastings and book presentations.
