Founded in 2012, Pivô is a non-profit cultural organization that operates as a platform for exchange programs and artistic experimentation with the objective of proposing critical questioning of the fields of art, architecture, urban planning and other contemporary manifestations.
Contacts & Details
Pivô‘s activities are focused on the process of constructing and spreading ideas that come from the conception and development of artists’ proposals. The events schedule is broad in scope, ranging from exhibitions, specific projects and interventions to editions, courses and lectures related to the project’s goals.
Pivô seeks new models of management and funding, setting up partnerships and offering alternatives of support for artists, critics and cultural producers. Pivô‘s objective is to involve artists and researchers in a continuous discussion about its space inside the Copan building and the city’s downtown region, promoting an exchange program between creators, theorists, students and the public on a national and international level.
In the midst of the cultural effervescence of São Paulo’s greater downtown area, Pivô is an independent space for art and research which dedicates more attention to the particularities of each project and provides guest artists and researchers with the possibility of more flexible activities.
