Founded in 1891, the South London Gallery is one of the major spaces in Peckham, providing a rich program of contemporary art exhibitions and live art events, with integrated education projects for children, young people and adults.
Among the event held by the gallery, there are major solo shows by established international figures such as Dara Birnbaum, Ellen Gallagher, Sanja Iveković, Michael Landy, Rivane Neuenschwander, Pae White and Lawrence Weiner. However the gallery also promotes young and mid-career artists such as Alice Channer, Ryan Gander, Oscar Murillo, Eva Rothschild and George Shaw.
