To celebrate the Black Consciousness Day, Tadeu Chiarelli, Pinacoteca’s general director, will deliver the lecture Territories: Curatorial Processes, where he’ll discuss the selection of works for the exhibition Territories: Afro-Descendant Artists in Pinacoteca’s Collection, to be opened on December 12. Integrating the celebratory program for the museum’s 110th anniversary, the exhibition will present part of the collection of Afro-descendant artists, and some new acquisitions. During the lecture, Chiarelli will share the concepts that guided the selection and comment the participating works.
The event is free and takes place from 2pm to 3pm, at the museum’s auditorium.
