Adam Pendleton: Shot Him In The Face

KW Institute for Contemporary Art presents “Shot Him In The Face”, a solo exhibition by American artist Adam Pendleton, responding to the work of Ian Wilson. The exhibition occupies the third floor of KW, displaying a large-scale wall cutting diagonally the space: taking as point of departure the first sentence from the poem “Albany” by American poet Ron Silliman “If the function of writing is to express the world”, the artist juxtaposes one of his Black Dada paintings with Wilson’s “Red Rectangle”, originally conceived in 1966.
