Ai Weiwei: Fondation

In his third show with Lisson Gallery London, Ai Weiwei comes back to the UK with two installations. Notably, “Fondation” is a work that debuted in “Brève histoire de l’avenir” (“A Brief History of the Future”) at the Louvre and it recovers stone foundations from centuries-old Chinese halls. Thought as a contemporary Greek agora, this is a public place of assembly and discussion. Visitors are then asked to sit upon these destroyed pillars to reflect about future.
