Banksy: War, Capitalism & Liberty

War, Capitalism and Liberty, are the contemporary issues addressed in this exhibition through the works of the main international street artist known as Banksy. A major exhibition on the artist to be held in Palazzo Cipolla, from 24 May to 4 September 2016 .

The exhibition includes an extensive corpus of Banksy coming from private collections. The exhibition will include original paintings, prints, sculptures and rare items, many of them have never been exhibited before.
The exhibition is characterized by a strong educational component and aims at schools, since it is supposed to be a comprehensive scientific review on the artist known as Banksy.

A major museum exhibition on the issues of war, capitalism and liberty explored through the work of the notorious British street artist known as Banksy.

Organised by the respected Fondazione Terzo Pilastro Italia e Mediterraneo in the heart of Rome, Italy, this is a comprehensive exploration of Contemporary Urban Art’s most important themes and the way they are communicated and expressed within the urban environment. This is a non-commercial museum exhibition produced by a not-for-profit historic institution. Held in its palatial museum space, Palazzo Cipolla,  it promises to be one of the biggest events of the year.

Curated by Stefano Antonelli, Francesca Mezzano and Acoris Andipa, this exhibition will bring together important collections of privately owned Banksy artworks including original sculptures, paintings, rare objects as well as all major prints from around the world.
