Betsabeé Romero: Idolos Frente a los Altares

Museo Anahuacalli

01 Nov 201527 Mar 2016

Through installations, Betsabeé Romero presents a dialogue between the Pre-Hispanic and the modernity in the exhibition: Idols in Front of the Altars, made by the Mexican artist around the offering of the Day of the Dead of the Diego Rivera-Anahuacalli Museum.

Over 60 pieces make up this contemporary exhibition, distributed in the exterior and the interior of the precinct, where it is played with the space and the Pre-Hispanic work is intervened, creating a dialogue between the mythic and the present Mexico, where two figures appear frequently, with which the artist has worked continuously to resignify the Pre-Hispanic art: the snake and the death.
