As part of “Platform 450” Deering Spring Contemporary, artist Carol Jazzar was invited to present “Fire”, a site specific installation at the entrance of the park. The installation creates the illusion of a roaring fire using special lights and smoke machines as well as using speakers to emit the sound of burning wood and foliage as we would hear it if we were next to such a massive fire. The work aims to bring awareness to the issue regarding the destruction of forests caused by fire.
