Carsten Höller: Sunday

Museo Tamayo, Paseo de la Reforma 51, Bosque de Chapultepec, Miguel Hidalgo

First large survey of the German artist Carsten Höller in Latin America. Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo presents the solo show Sunday of Carsten Höller who uses his training as a research agricultural entomologist to create dazzling, mischievous laboratories where we are invited to manipulate our own emotional and physical states.

For Sunday, his survey at Mexico City’s Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo, the artist takes advantage of the museum’s unique architecture—a brutalist building designed as a pyramid in reference to the pre-Hispanic architectural history to present his large-scale projects which often recall the pleasures of visiting a playground or amusement park.
