The two-part exhibition at Kunsthaus Baselland is the first Swiss solo presentation by Paris based artist Clément Cogitore. Over the years, the artist has undergone in-depth research into the ways in which pictures form different sources, including advertising, entertainment, social networks or rituals, mould people’s behaviour in real life. While the first part focussed on his recent works, “Part II” exhibits for the first time in an institutional context the new piece “The Evil Eye”, for which Cogitore was awarded the Prix Marchel Duchamp.
