Zuecca Projects, in collaboration with Polo Museale del Veneto and Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia present “Contemporary Dialogues with Tintoretto”, a project conceived on the occasion of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Jacopo Tintoretto. The exhibition aims to underline the modernity and innovative power of his painting.
Curated by Ludovico Pratesi, the project is focused on the dialogues between Tintoretto’s masterpieces preserved at Palazzo Ducale and Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro, and the artworks by leading contemporary artists influenced, for attitude and style, by the Master. Conceived in two sections, “Faces” and “Stories”, the exhibition’s path includes works by international artists of the last generations who are invited to “Contemporary Dialogues with Tintoretto” and offer a constellation of images that are disquieting or monumental, traditional or irreverent.
