Cornelia Schleime: A Blink of An Eye

Berlinische Galerie presents “A Blink of An Eye”, a solo exhibition by the artist Cornelia Schleime. The artist has focussed since the 1990s on figures and large-format portraits, taking as sources of inspiration glossy magazines, but also personal photographs or snapshots found at flea markets: developing her artistic practice across drawing and painting, Schleime ironically highlights her subject’s poses and aspects, assigning them new roles in her personal creation.
