From April 12 to 17, BASE Milan becomes the Design Center of the Tortona Design Week and hosts a number of international projects in line with its vocation as an innovative platform for the integration of ideas and cultural production.
There will be among others: Opendot in collaboration with Claude Marzotto (obelus) and Daniela Lorenzi (A14) with the exhibition Visual Making; the European Network Human Cities / Challenging the City Scale, with an exhibition involving its 11 partners of different cities, together with the Politecnico of Milan and home to the Shanghai Tongji University; two exhibitions realized by Connecting the Dots on “Culture & Market”, opposite aspects of great relevance in the design; the collective of Designersblock, with projects by between 60 independent designers, emerging and established; SMART PARK Reply, an accelerator of ideas led by Design Thinking, with SMART Academy in collaboration with POLI.design; On residential and printed paper with a special library animated by meetings, discussions, round tables and workshops; no recent technological and material Pixartprinting installation and testing of Giulio Iacchetti for Moleskine.
Not at least, a project is dedicated to the artist in residence of BASE Milan, CASABASE. Six Italian and international realities – Studio co.arch (Italy), Made by Choice (Finland), MY KILOS (Germany), Farrow & Ball (UK / Italy), Atelier Mezzo (Portugal / Italy) and Give Wake (Italy) – are were invited to reinterpret the space between the house in hybrid mode, laboratory, office and place of design and creativity. Every room provided by a different designer, becomes a window on the future.
