Edward & Nancy Kienholz

ICA presents a show dedicated to 1980s works by Edward and Nancy Kienholz revolving around the  representation of gender identity in a contemporary, new media society. Encompassing a series of found-object tableaus that incorporate photography, television screens, and mirrors, the exhibition is anchored by a major work from ICA Miami’s permanent collection, The Soup Course at the She-She Café (1982), and accompanied by significant loans of related works from Nancy Reddin Kienholz and the Betty and Monte Factor Family Collection.
