Fahrelnissa Zeid Solo Show

Tate Modern

22 Jun 201708 Oct 2017

Zeid had an obsession with dazzling colours and line which visitors will be able to rediscover with this solo show at Tate Modern. She was one of the most important figures of the Turkish avant-garde d Group (early 1940s).

Her vibrant abstract paintings are a synthesis of Islamic, Byzantine, Arab and Persian influences fused with European approaches to abstraction.
