Gardenal: Recent works
Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation presents at its Gallery in San Marco Square the solo exhibition of the Venetian artist Luigi Gardenal.
During his fifty years of activity, Gardenal practices painting, engraving, graphics and urban design making also installations, multimedial performances and artistic events exploring different languages.
The show represents the result of an intense artistic research exhibiting also his last unreleased artworks.
The exhibition is structured in two levels. The main floor hosts “Laguna Sud” and “Venezia Venezia” which are installations and 3D works, while in the four rooms of the first floor there are different dimension and techniques paintings.
In each work, even in the collage, colour is the protagonist and its expressionistic energy is emphasized by projected images, that the artist uses to realize an extraordinary travel through materic sedimentations. “Marco Polo Route” is a huge installation with maps covering the entire surface of the room and showing the artist imagery, made of restless navigation, according to the Venetian tradition.
