Gustavo Ferro: Ground Control

Gustavo Ferro brings to , the series called Multiverse – consisting of works on paper that have characteristics of drawing and engraving. The artist creates pastel drawings, produced using photographs of urban spaces.

In addition to the series of drawings, created in the last months of 2015 in a temporary studio set up in Sé, the show also features the video installation “Untitled (bus)”, which Gustavo created during the residency Sitio Especifico in No Lugar, in Quito (Ecuador) in 2015 he produced a sculpture made of a distorted contention barrier.

“Ground Control” presents developments of several previous works of Gustav and his experiences in the urban environment: “As a critical tool for thinking about the role of these control elements that guide our daily behavior, the artist presents new provisions commonly known as experiments,” says Germano Dusha, the curator of the exhibition.

“Ground Control” is the first solo exhibition of Gustavo Ferro in Sé, which since its opening in 2014 was representing the artist.
