Various aspects of the trajectory of Hudinilson Júnior (1957 – 2013, Brazil) are here shown through 36 works including drawings, prints, paintings, collages and objects, from the beginning of his career to recent work.
The Museum of Contemporary Art of USP has always followed Hudinilson Junior’s production: since 1982, his works have been present in 19 exhibitions organized by the museum that, in 2013, acquired three additional pieces by the artist.
This attention was fundamental for the family’s decision that, after the artist’s death, MAC could select for its collection some pieces by Hudinilson, with the assessment of João Spinelli, a connoisseur of his production. The 31 selected pieces enriched the already existing collection of the artist, enabling the museum to present different phases of Hudinilson’s artistic career.
