“Hurufiyya: Art & Identity”, organized by Barjeel Art Foundation at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and curated by Karim Sultan, explores the origins of the most significant movements in modern Arab art history (Hurufiyya), illustrated through snapshots by artists who pioneered it, in comparison with his adaptations over the 20th and 21st century, as the result of modern influences, investigating the impact of this significant movement on the Arab world.
