There’s barely a country in which architect’s order books are fuller than in Switzerland. Nevertheless, or maybe on account of this, many take a leap across the border and into new territories. Selected examples of planned and built projects tell stories of knowledge transfer, cultural exchange, development aid and loss of control.

With projects by: Andreas Fuhrimann Gabrielle Hächler Architekten, Annika Seifert und Gunter Klix, Bernard Tschumi Architects, BHSF, Diener & Diener, E2A, EM2N, Fabulous Urban, Herzog & de Meuron, HHF, Jaccaud Zein Architectes, Jan Henrik Hansen, Manuel Herz, Mario Botta Architetti, Markus Schietsch Architekten, Nele Dechman, NOMOS, Pierre-Alain Dupraz, Raumbureau, Stocker Lee architetti, Rhabaran Hürzeler, SAAS, Studio We, Udo Thönnissen.
