Loredana Nemes: Greed Fear Love Photographs 2008–2018

Loredana Nemes‘ first solo show in an art museum features around 120 works by the Romanian-roots photographer, 23 of which come directly from the collection of the institution. Using techniques such as different grades of focus or abstraction, she often investigates her subjects’ insecurities and fears, producing images which alternatively record social issues or portrait human figures in everyday life situations.

Nemes‘s advantage stem from her experience of three different cultural backgrounds: Romania, her country of birth, Iran, where she spent a period of her childhood, and Germany, where she studied and begun her career as a photographer.
