The exhibition brings together the iconic images by the photographer with artworks by the Turin sculptor, on display in the Scarpa Area of the Fondazione Querini Stampalia. Among the artworks on display, there is Ghirri’s “Profilo delle nuvole” (1989) alongside works specially chosen by Icaro from his output from the 1960s until the present.
The show investigates the relationship between sculpture and photography, offering an intense dialogue with the exhibition space and Carlo Scarpa’s architecture. Photography, sculpture and architecture are the tools to speak specific linguistic possibilities.
