Marino Marini: Sculptures, Paintings, Graphic Works

Studio Guastalla Gallery presents an exhibition dedicated to the Italian artist Marino Marini, from March 14th the gallery recalls its own history too via forty artworks, including sculptures, paintings, drawings, etching and engravings. The artist throughout his career has produced work which bridges the gap between the antique and the contemporary with both Etruscan and modern references, transmitting a universal language.

At the height of his career in 1950, his essential style was exhibited in New York, from there he became sought after in America, his works themselves had walk on roles in blockbuster films, they appeared in magazines such as Life, Newsweek and Vogue, famous business men wanted him to paint his portrait and his work was up at the Moma and the Peggy Guggenheim in Venice.

This exhibition also marks a long standing relationship between the artist and the gallery, which began at the very beginning of his career.
