Matías Duville: Mutations
“Mutações” approaches the work of Matías Duville (b. 1974, Buenos Aires) departing from certain ideas-images that, according to curator Santiago G. Navarro, structure his body of work almost as a whole: mutations, shelter, bad weather and imaginary. A selection of over one hundred drawings, paintings and objects created between 2002 and 2015 allows the visitor to have a complex and broad perspective of such issues.
Alongside Adrián Villar Rojas, Eduardo Basualdo, and Pablo Acinelli, among others, Duville integrates a generation of Argentinian artists that gained international visibility in the 2000s and that have regular exhibitions in Brazil.
