Miami-based gallery Emerson Dorsch houses “Love, Ur”, a new body of work by artist Mette Tommerup. Large canvases interacting with stretched columns and paintings immerse the viewers in a scenographic setting. Through Tommerup’s interventions, the gallery’s space becomes a threshold to another dimension, beyond common comprehension. Rough materials and rolling tarps evoke a primordial geological state, referring to a magical place of the Nordic tradition known as Ur.
