Morten Slettemeås belongs to the young generation of the Norwegian artists. His paintings are expressive and organic with intense brush strokes of color, characteristics that recall the German expressionist tendency of the early 20th Century and the Nordic expressionist postwar period (Per Kirkeby and the COBRA group), but they also evoke, as a far echo, the 19th century paintings of Edward Munch.
Here at Luis Adelantado, Morten Sletemeås (Gvarv, Norway, 1975) presents a new pictorial proposal of large color level landscapes.
