Nicholas Pope: Sins and Virtues

Nicholas Pope‘s solo exhibition “Sins and Virtues” features sculptures by the British artist, alongside drawings and works on paper.

The centre of the exhibition is the installation The Conundrum of the Chalices of the Seven Deadly Sins and Seven Virtues, 2014, produced in collaboration with the glass maker James Maskrey at the National Glass Centre, starting from Pope’s oil drawings. The work is intended to be viewed all together with the spectator having the possibility to explore the correspondences between the drawings and the glass chalices which compose the sculpture.
