Santiago Sierra: Mea Culpa

The Spanish artist’s first retrospective in Italy clearly depicts his focus on structural violence commanded by the political and economic system within his works. It is the type of violence that society tries to ignore and that Sierra insists on showing under a magnifying glass. He fiercely criticizes the topics of uneven wealth distribution and inhuman work conditions within his art works,  and accentuates the positive image of work that dominates society.
