Sinfonía para 100 motocicletas: un ensayo de antropología simétrica

Casa del Lago, Bosque de Chapultepec Primera sección, Colonia San Miguel Chapultepec

This exhibition shows the results of the residence of the artist José Jiménez Ortiz (Torreon, Coahuila, 1980) held at Honda, Tomila in Colombia during the summer of 2015, as winner of the Residency Program and artistic production Flora+ars natura and Casa del Lago 2015. The work is based on an investigation research on the social and historical connotations of the motorcycle in this Colombian region. Jiménez generated a series of micro-histories linked to the role of such vehicles in the local community and he produced videos, drawings, paintings, sculptures, plus an LP , which are presented in this exhibition curated by José Roca, artistic director of Fundación Flora.
