The Hayward Gallery marks the end of its 50 year anniversary year with a major new exhibition which seeks to shift viewers’ sense of space and the way they perceive their surroundings, with artworks by over 20 international artists who intervene, intersect and respond to the Hayward Gallery building, stirring up both physiological and psychological responses. Both historic and contemporary sculptures and installations defy conventional perceptions trough the use of reflective or translucent materials like glass or resin. On the occasion, several new commissions are presented.
Exhibiting artists include, amongst others, big names such as Anish Kapoor, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Wilson, Fred Sandback and Larry Bell.
