Steve McQueen: End Credits

Pérez Art Museum Miami – PAMM, 1103 Biscayne Blvd., Downtown

“End Credits, (2012–2016)” is a video installation paying homage to the African American singer and Civil Rights activist Paul Robeson (1898–1976), who was blacklisted by the FBI in the 1950s. McQueen’s work exposes the thousand of pages the FBI compiled on Robertson in the McCarthy era, and creates a compelling visual composition that amplifies the perverse nature of politically driven discrimination and persecution.
