Susana Pilar Delahante Matienzo: Un chino de paso por Venecia, camino a Cuba

Galleria Continua and ICI Venice – Istituto Culturale Internazionale present on the occasion of the 57th Venice Biennale, the solo show by Cuban artist Susana Pilar Delahante Matienzo, titled Un chino de paso por Venecia, camino a Cuba.

Starting from the memories of her great-grandfather, Chinese immigrant to Cuba in the 19th century, the exhibition deals with immigration and migration, characterizing all phases of world history. The artist’s work marks the unknown contribution of Chinese culture in Cuban society.
