Pushkin Museum together with Stella Art Foundation present a special project in Venice within the Pushkin Museum XXI Direction — the exhibition, dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the great Venetian artist Jacopo Tintoretto.
San Fantin church hosts works by contemporary artists Dmitry Krymov, Irina Nakhova, Gary Hill created specially for the exhibition, and !Mediengruppe Bitnik present an art intervention. Works by contemporary artists rethink the innovative approach of the great Venetian master and invite the viewers to immerse themselves in the universe of Tintoretto. Each of the pieces interprets the most important motives in Tintoretto’s work: the spiritual unity of people, the miracle, as well as his mastering the dynamics of space and the expressive potential of light.
