Palazzo Grassi

For the occasion of his first first personal exhibition in Italy, Luc Tuymans (Mortsel, Belgium, 1958) is unveiling  a site-specific work created specifically for the spaces of Palazzo Grassi.  Inspired by Curzio Malaparte’s 1949 novel “La Pelle”, the exhibition includes over 80 works from the Pinault Collection, international museums and private collections, and focuses on the artist’s paintings from 1986 to today. The exhibition is part of the project “carta blanch” thought up by the Pinault Collection as an invite to artists to exhibit their own piece of work in the context of a major exhibitions.
