Hors Les Murs

Hors les Murs is renowned for its unparalleled diversity and the beauty of its locations. The programme will be reinforced with works exhibited in public space, an artists’ films programme, and three days of conferences.

The itinerary will cover three emblematic venues: the Tuileries Garden (the 10th year running, in the context of FIAC’s collaboration with the Louvre Museum), the Musée National Eugène Delacroix and the Place Vendôme.

The Tuileries Garden

Discover artworks and monumental installations by Berdaguer and Péjus, Joe Bradley, Alexander Calder, Mircea Cantor, Gloria Friedmann, Jacques Julien, Thomas Kilpper, Michael Sailstorfer, but also exceptional presentations of architectural works of Ron Arad, Mauricio Pezo and Sofia von Ellrichshausen, or Yona Friedman, among others.

Musée National Eugène Delacroix

As an extension of the exhibition of outdoor works in the Tuileries Garden, the Musée Eugène Delacroix will open its doors to FIAC visitors, in association with the Musée du Louvre. Situated in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Eugène Delacroix Museum, is an unexpected haven of peace, niched between courtyard and garden. Originally the artist’s apartment and studio, it was transformed into a museum by the painter Maurice Denis and some major painters from the 1920s. It is therefore a venue that is dedicated to artistic creation.

Place Vendôme

FIAC continues its collaboration with the Comité Vendôme and its members to present monumental artworks on the Place Vendôme. A magnificent setting dominated by beautiful stone, the Place Vendôme represents creation, excellence and savoir-faire. In association with Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Gladstone Gallery, Sadie Coles HQ and Esther Schipper, the Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone presents a series of seven majestic sculptures in aluminium: he alludes to the olive trees that often grow in the region of Campania in Italy, where his family is from. Like “time capsules”, he paints over them in white to give the illusion of ghostly trees: “the ghosts of the passage of time”.
