The exhibition expresses different Nordic perspectives on today’s complex relations between humans and other living organisms, in the light of increasing phenomena such as climate change and mass extinction which compromise the preconditions of life on Earth. The works on view reflect on the complex interrelations, emotional as well material, which exist between human and non-human beings and men’s agencies on the surrounding environment. Led by the awareness of climate’s unpredictability and the fear of losing the pristine nature which characterise Nordic landscapes, the selected artists investigate these multi-species dependencies and entanglements.
