Lauren Every-Wortman

Lauren Every-Wortman is HOCA Foundation’s Curator and Exhibitions Manager, and is responsible for curating all of HOCA Foundation’s upcoming exhibitions and events.
Lauren comes to HOCA with years of experience in the contemporary art world in the United States and Asia, including a number of years as the Gallery Manager at Above Second in Hong Kong, an art space dedicated to expanding the urban contemporary art movement from the streets up. In this role, Lauren managed gallery exhibitions, as well as extensive off-site exhibitions such as “Work in Progress” an exhibition held in conjunction with Swire Properties in 2013 and site-specific mural commissions such as those by Cyrcle at the Youth Outreach Center in Sai Wan Ho and D*Face at PMQ in Central.
Lauren graduated Magnum Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, with a dual degree in Visual Studies: Art Practice and Technology and Art History. While in Philadelphia, Lauren assisted in the curation and realization of the exhibition ‘Medium Resistance’ in conjunction with Philagrafika 2010.
