Yitzhak Golombek

Born in Poland, 1956 and lives in Tel-Aviv

Itzhak Golombek, born in 1956 in Poland, immigrated to Israel in 1965. Between 1977 and 1980 he studied at the HaMidrasha School of Art. He teaches sculpture and drawing in the same institution and in the Art Department of Haifa University. Since graduation he has exhibited massively in many solo and group shows in Israel and abroad. Among them: ‘Separate Worlds’ – a three- participant show in Tel Aviv Museum of Art, 1994, two one man shows in Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art in 2005 and 2011, and further solo shows in Julie M. and Dvir galleries in Tel Aviv. In 1989 and 2006 he received The Ministry of Culture and Education Prize for painters and sculptors and in 2014 the Elovic – Bezalel prize for sculpture.
