Jewyo Rhii (b. 1971 Seoul) studied at Ewha Womans University in Korea and continued her graduate study at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. Rhii notes the contradictions of social structure among the physical discomforts and pain that are experienced in our daily lives. Her works have been exhibited in the Korean Sunjai Art Center, Studio Ssamzie, and the Mayerson Gallery in Philadelphia. In 1998, she participated in Feet Trip, a 40-day invitation performance in Seoul, New York, Philadelphia and Tokyo. Jewyo Rhii lives and works in Seoul.
