John Waters is an American film director, screenwriter, author, actor, stand-up comedian, journalist, visual artist, and art collector, born in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S., in 1946, where he currently lives and works. Since the early 1990s, Waters has been making photo-based artwork and installations that have been internationally exhibited in galleries and museums.
