Lantian Xie

Born in 1988, United Arab Emirates

Liantan Xie  makes images about belonging and gulfs. He is particularly interested in general trading, hotel lobbies, and cafeteria menus. Xie holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He also co-hosts a weekly programme on Dubai Eye 103.8FM Radio and is editor-at-large at Dubai-based publishing practice The State. Xie was formerly artist in residence at the Delfina Foundation in London.
