Alwin Lay

Alwin Lay studied photography at the Freie Akademie der bildenden Künste in Essen, Germany, under Thomas Zika. In 2007 he transferred to the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Since 2011 he has also been studying at the Düsseldorf Art Academy under Christopher Williams. In 2010 he became fellow of the artists’ network Cosanuswerk. He has had exhibitions at the Institute of Lost Research, Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bonn (2011) and at the EG-Null, Generali Cologne (2011). In Winter 2010 Alwin Lay was Little Global Cities artist in residence in Szeged.
