Ocean Space, TBA21’s New Home, Will Open in Venice in 2019

Founder and Executive Producer of TBA21, Francesca Von Habsburg, has recently announced the opening of a space in Venice.

TBA21–Academy will have its new home in the former church of San Lorenzo, which has previously hosted National Pavilion of Mexico at the 13th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2013.

The Academy’s aim is to promote cooperation among artists, scientists and other key players working on ocean literacy, researche and advocacy through the arts.

To anticipate the launch, TBA21 is currently showcasing Armin Linke: Prospecting Ocean at Institute of Marine Sciences (CNR_ISMAR),  an investigative exhibition by the filmmaker and photographer exploring contemporary challenges facing our oceans.

 

Armin Linke, “Prospecting Ocean” is on view at CNR_ISMAR until the Semptember 30th, 2018.
