The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) in Hong Kong has announced the appointment of Suhanya Raffel, deputy director of one of Australia’s top galleries, to the position of executive director of its ambitious museum project, M+, the planned “museum of visual culture” in Hong Kong,
The Sri Lankan-born Ms. Raffel, who is both deputy director and director of collections at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney, will begin a five-year contract in November. She succeeds Lars Nittve, who left in January after his contract expired.
